Perfect Pancake baking tips:

Grease lightly with cooking oil or butter. Your Skillet, Pan or Griddle is ready when drops of water sizzle and disappear (~375 degrees). If your griddle is too cool your pancakes will stick, or they will brown too quickly if it is too hot. Combine ingredients into bowl (milk and egg optional) an stir with a spoon or whisk until the large lumps are gone. The pancake mix batter will be slightly lumpy. Adding more water or milk will result in thinner pancakes. For a thicker pancake use a little less water / milk. For a thinner result use a little more. Pour slightly less than a quarter cup batter for each pancake onto heated pan. Cook 1 to 1.5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Your pancakes are ready to be flipped over when bubbles on the surface start popping and the bottom is brown. Turning your pancakes to often will make them tougher. For waffles follow manufacturers direction for regular or Belgian Wafflemaker.
